About Yoga for Krav

This class reinforces bio-mechanical components of self-defense techniques taught in Krav Maga through the practice of yoga tune-up. Yoga tune-up is a head-to-toe health and fitness system combining yoga, calisthenics, corrective exercise and body therapy in a way that heals damaged muscle tissue, increases overall strength, and bolsters the immune system. This provocative approach to yoga challenges the body to think, react and restructure itself to maximize flexibility, strength and power.

Learn more about your own anatomy, get relief from old and new injuries, and refine your sense of spatial awareness. Unlearn old movement patterns and replace them with healthier ones. While this class is sequenced to reinforce the biomechanics of self-defense in Krav Maga, it is relevant and appropriate to anyone from any fitness background that wants to live better in their body, eradicate pain, improve posture and enhance performance.

Additional Information

Yoga for Krav is appropriate for all levels of experience. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. We encourage you to bring your own mat, but the studio rent mats for $2.00.

About the Instructor

Sarah Snider is a yoga teacher certified by the biggest yoga school in NYC. She offers clear instructions of alignment and breath, challenges physical awareness, flexibility, and concentration. Teaching safety is a priority; she offers modifications and appropriate poses for all levels so that students have more space while building confidence, a steady flow, a calm mind, and a strong presence.
