Stop Women Abuse! – Man-Up

Man Up is a global campaign to activate young people to stop violence against women and girls. The mission of the organization is to activate a youth-led movement and strengthen in-country programs. Harnessing the universal power of music, sport and technology, Man Up provides innovative training, resources and support to young women and men and the organizations with whom they collaborate. A film festival mounted on December 3, 2011 marked the first collaboration between Man Up and IKM New York, a Krav Maga self-defense training program in New York City. The goals of female empowerment and security which Man Up espouses are embodied in the tenets of Krav Maga, the official Israeli self-defense system used by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), law enforcement professionals, and special forces worldwide. Man Up and IKM New York will be collaborating on future public awareness efforts and trainings throughout 2012, including weekend workshops and school visits.
