Tsahi Shemesh – IKM’s Chief Instructor in the USA

Tsahi began practicing the Krav Maga method at the age of 15 under the training of Shachar Izraeli (Expert 3), an instructor of the IKMF (International Krav Maga Federation) at Eli Ben-Ami’s (Expert 6) studio.
Tsahi joined the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) in 2001 and served in the Paratrooper’s brigade for 3 years. During his military service he underwent combat warrior and commander training. In addition to the above, Tsahi also passed an Anti-terrorism course directed by the Israeli Secret Service as part of his training.

In 2007, Tsahi successfully graduated the Instructor Course of the Wingate Institute, Israel’s National Center for Education and Sport. He also passed the Krav Maga Instructors Course in the IKMF under the guidance of Gabi Noah (Master II) and Avi Moyal (Master).

As of 2008 Tsahi has been coached by Gabi Noah at the World Krav Maga Center in Netanya, Israel.  He trained with hundreds of instructors of around the world and took part of  ”Law Enforcement Instructors Training”, “VIP Protection Instructors training” and “Civilians training”.  During these years, he has developed and directed women’s self defense seminars due to the increasing need in that field. His primary concern was and is to assist those who lack the ability to defend themselves, or better put- have not yet acquired that skill.

In 2009, Tsahi achieved his B.A in the Department of Communications and Management at the Open University of Israel.

In 2010, under the guidance of Gabi Noah, Tsahi successfully achieved the rank of Expert 1 (black belt).

In April of 2010, Tsahi relocated to the United States positioned as the New York State acting director of the IKM (International Krav Maga), founded and headed by Gabi Noah.

Tsahi  founded the IKM’s New York branch and he is the IKM’s chief instructor in USA . Tsahi also training police, military and security personnel and certified by Gabi Noah to teach VIP Protection Krav Maga personnel.

Carlos Gutierrez - IKM NY INSTRUCTORS TEAM

Carlos Gutierrez was born in Minnesota, USA.

He started his martial arts training at of 5 years old at National Karate, Shotokan system. He trained for seven years, and achieved a Brown belt.
In 2006 Carlos achieved Level 1 CPT certification from the Personal Training Institute. Carlos has a vast experience as a personal trainer for people with special physical needs and limitations.
He began his journey in the Krav Maga field in 2008 and has rapidly made his way to the IKM NY ‘s instructor team.
In early 2011 he earned his certification as a TRX Air Suspension group instructor.

In 2011, Carlos is a Gabi Noah International Krav Maga certified instructor. He graduated successfully the IKM Instructor’s Course 1 & 2 levels under the instruction of Gabi Noah (Master II) and received his G1 Level certification. Carlos has vast experience in Krav Maga and in the general fitness discipline,

Today Carlos is one of IKM NY”s leading and most dedicated instructors, and a cross-fit practitioner.
